National Geographic has long been known for having some of the best photographers in the business. Now those photography experts are sharing their knowledge with photographers at all levels through National Geographic Traveler’s Photo Seminars.
The seminars will cover everything from composition to lighting, to digital camera equipment. Each session will be geared to a specific topic including nature, people, landscapes, and portraits. Schedule of Seminars
Throughout the year, various seminars are held in different cities across the United States. The schedule of National Geographic Photography Seminars for Fall 2015 show locations in many states, including California, Florida, Wisconsin, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. The list is extensive and a photographer could be just about anywhere and still be within driving distance of a seminar at some point during the season.
The instructors for the seminars are some of the best photographers in the business. They are National Geographic’s pride and joy, including Pulitzer Prize winner, Jay Dickman. Each of these qualified, skilled instructors bring their experience, education, talent, and passion for their art to every seminar. Others teaching the seminars, like award winning photographer Bob Krist, have been places and experienced events that only a photojournalist can capture. To learn from these accomplished artists is an honor. What they have to offer would certainly take any photographer’s work to the next level, regardless of whether they are amateurs, professionals, or somewhere in between.
National Geographic Traveler weekend photography workshops are four days of intense instruction and hands on application. These programs are held in cities all over the United States (and in Europe) and allow students to delve deeper into the process. The workshops are led by a professional instructor and a National Geographic photographer and are held in some of the most picture perfect cities in the U.S. such as:

The courses cost varying fees and all pricing is available on the website, along with scheduling and registration information. For the level of instruction and prestige of the organization, the costs are relatively inexpensive. They are well worth the money though for photographers who to be better at what the love to do most.
